The approved scheme will see the demolition of the existing Brickfield House building on Brickfield Drive. The 282 apartments will be contained within four blocks that will range from four to ten storeys in height.
Plans have been lodged for the construction of 1,365 new homes located at Corballis East, Donabate, North Dublin. The scheme was lodged by Aledo Donabate, a company owned by the directors of Cannon Kirk, a Dublin-based homebuilder firm.
The €448 million scheme was lodged directly to An Bord Pleanála under the state’s fast-track housing scheme.
The proposed development comprises a total of 1,019 apartments and 346 houses. The apartments feature 259 one-bed units, 599 two-bed units, and 166 three-bed units. They are arranged in 16 apartment blocks that will range from two to four storeys in height. The houses comprise 9 two-bed units, 206 three-bed units, and 131 four-bed units.
The Donabate development plans outline 3 childcare facilities with a capacity for almost 300 children. The plans also outline the provision of 7 retail or café units. A series of public parks, open spaces, pocket parks, and communal open spaces are proposed throughout the 43-hectare site. The plans outline the provision of “Corballis Nature Park” which will provide 13 hectares of natural amenity areas and cycle and pedestrian connections to Cottages Road. A total of 1,842 car parking spaces and 2,613 cycle spaces are proposed.
Cannon Kirk is planning to charge a local authority €36 million for 136 homes as part of a proposed Donabate development.
CGI consultants, 3D Design Bureau, liaised with the development team to provide both 3D planning and 3D marketing solutions. 3D Design Bureau produced a total of 28 verified view montages and 14 architectural CGIs which were submitted as part of the planning application to An Bord Pleanála. The 3D visualisations are now being used for marketing purposes with national media covering the project.
