Construction is now underway on a new residential development at the former St. Teresa’s Gardens site. Developed by The Land Development Agency (LDA), the scheme secured planning approval from An Bord Pleanála in 2023.
The project, located off Donore Avenue in Dublin 8, is part of Dublin City Council’s comprehensive strategy to create a sustainable, well-integrated community in the area.

Upon completion, the Donore project will encompass 154 social and 389 cost-rental homes, culminating in 543 residential units in total. The development will offer a diverse mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, dispersed across four apartment blocks, reaching up to 15 storeys high.
Moreover, the underway project will also include a retail/café unit, a mobility hub, a community/artist workspace, and a childcare facility, alongside other associated works, promising to greatly enrich the future residents’ quality of life.
Due to the project’s scale, substantial infrastructural upgrades are being taken. These include new vehicular routes, as well as pedestrian and cyclist paths, to ensure easy access for residents and visitors.
3D Design Bureau produced a comprehensive BRE Daylight and Sunlight Assessment which was submitted as part of the planning application. This assessment provided An Bord Pleanála with extensive information, enabling them to make well-informed decisions and ultimately assisting our client in obtaining permission for the development.
The Donore project will contribute to addressing Ireland’s pressing housing crisis, by providing much-needed social and cost rental residential homes.

An Bord Pleanála has granted conditional planning permission to Beakonshaw Hill Limited for the construction of a new large-scale residential scheme at Chapel Road, Delgany, encompassing 84 dwellings and a crèche on a 2.67-hectare site.
Construction is progressing on Crown Square, a €200 million mixed-use development in Galway’s Mervue area. The latest Land Development Agency (LDA) project will deliver 345 A-rated apartments, comprising 86 one-bedroom, 240 two-bedroom, and 19 three-bedroom units. These residences will be allocated as cost rental and social housing, addressing the pressing need for affordable housing in the region.
Construction has commenced on a new large-scale residential development comprising of a whopping 1,020 units in Corballis, Donabate, with an estimated investment of €220 million. The LRD application received approval from Fingal County Council in April 2024, replacing a previously approved Strategic Housing Development (SHD) granted by An Bord Pleanála in November 2022, which is currently under judicial review. Corballis East is expected to provide a diverse range of housing options to meet growing demand in the area.
