Daylight & Sunlight Analyst

Role Description and Responsibilities

Following the continued growth of our daylight and sunlight consultancy, 3D Design Bureau have an opening for an experienced analyst to join our expanding team. The successful candidate will work within a highly skilled team delivering daylight and sunlight assessments and reports for planning purposes. 3DDB are the leading daylight and sunlight consultants in Ireland and the role requires experience, passion, knowledge and willingness to bring value to the existing team. This role offers the right candidate the opportunity to influence design and have a positive impact on the built environment. Full training in 3DDB workflows and methodologies will be provided with professional career advancement expected as the company continues to grow.

Required Skillset and Experience

• Fluent in oral, aural and written English.
• 3rd level diploma/degree required (preferably relevant to the AEC sector).
• Experience with Autodesk Revit, Autodesk 3ds Max and Autodesk CAD.
• Advanced knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office suite (mainly Word and Excel).
• Intermediate level of knowledge and experience in Adobe Suite (Photoshop and In-Design).
• Preferably 2+ years experience in a role that included, or was primarily focused, on daylight and sunlight analysis.
• Ability to understand architectural and engineering drawings with 3D spatial awareness is a must.
• Enjoys reading/research and a good communicator with the ability to maintain a high level of concentration.
• A genuine and keen interest & understanding of our industry and the built environment.

Day-to-Day Tasks

• Review, manage and work with the supplied Revit 3D model from our modelling team.
• Daylight and sunlight analysis under industry guideline criteria using 3DDB methodologies and daylight/sunlight analysis software.
• Extrapolate, review, collate and understand the data generated from all assessments.
• Communicate and consult with our in-house team, clients and 3rd Party consultants throughout a project, to assist and advise design improvements for better performance.
• Image creation using Adobe Suite (Photoshop & In-Design) for inclusion in written reports.
• Report writing.
