South Dublin County Council has granted planning permission with conditions for Phase 2 of Evara’s Adamstown Boulevard Development. Located within the Adamstown Strategic Development Zone in the townlands of Gollierstown and Finnstown, the approved scheme will deliver 877 residential homes across a range of unit types.
3D Design Bureau
3D Design Bureau supported the planning application by producing architectural CGIs, verified view montages, and aerial montages. Together, these visuals helped communicate the scale, design intent, and character of the proposal to the local authority, supporting the assessment process and contributing to the successful planning outcome.
The development comprises a series of buildings ranging from three to nine storeys, with private amenity spaces provided as balconies and terraces. The residential mix includes studios, one-, two- and three-bedroom homes, delivered across apartment and duplex formats. The permission also provides for car and cycle parking, alongside associated public realm and connectivity works.
The plans also include a new central urban square, landscaped courtyards, green links and pocket parks, designed to create ample amenity spaces for future residents.
Michael Hynes, CEO of Evara, stated: “This is a significant milestone for the Adamstown SDZ and for Evara. Adamstown Boulevard Phase 2 is our single largest planning permission to date, and ensures we continue to deliver sustainable homes at scale, building on our mission of creating new and welcoming communities in neighbourhoods where people can afford to live in high-quality developments. We would like to thank SDCC for their input into the project and we looking forward to continuing to work with them on the delivery of new housing across the Adamstown SDZ.”
The decision also includes a number of requirements to be addressed prior to commencement on site. These include updates to elevations to reduce the extent of rendered finishes and adjust venting treatment along Adamstown Way, alongside further inclusion of green roofs across the buildings and other minor revisions.
Adamstown Boulevard Phase 2 builds on Evara’s Phase 1 development, which is close to completion and has delivered a range of two, three and four bedroom housing mix to the area.
