OBSF (1) Limited have received planning permission from An Bord Pleanála for the construction of 290 homes in Citywest, Dublin.
The estimated €65m development, known as ‘Citywest Drive’ will be located at site adjacent to Citywest Shopping Centre. The scheme will feature a mix of one-, two- and three-bed apartments spread across 6 blocks ranging in height from 5 to 7 storeys.
Citywest Drive will also feature 153 car spaces and 298 bicycle parking spaces.
Approximately 8% of the 2.9 hectare site will be dedicated to landscaped open spaces including courtyards, children’s play areas and an outdoor gym.
A childcare facility will also be included along with all ancillary works including, pedestrian walkways and lighting, cycle links, green roofs and waste facilities.
CGI consultants, 3D Design Bureau liaised closely with John Flemming Architects to produce both 3D planning and 3D marketing solutions. 3D Design Bureau produced architectural CGIs, verified view montages and presentation photomontages which were submitted as part of the planning application to An Bord Pleanála.

Landscape consultant: Park Hood are chartered landscape architects based in Dublin 2.
CGI consultants: 3D Design Bureau are specialists in Architectural Visualisation, BIM and VR – Delivering Quality Design Planning and Marketing Solutions. For this project, 3D Design Bureau produced architectural CGIs, verified view montages and presentation photomontages which were submitted as part of the planning application to An Bord Pleanála. They are based in Blackrock, Dublin.
Cairn is expected to deliver the first of the Citywest Quarter apartment blocks in the fourth quarter of 2020, with final delivery expected by the end of the third quarter in 2021.
The state-of-the-art, office development located at Airside Business Park in Swords took at total of 12 months to complete excluding an 8-week delay due to Covid-19.
The developing suburb of Citywest has been subject to large residential and commercial expansion in recent years with over 950 new homes in pre-planning and construction phases.
