Plans for €107m apartment development, Saggart

Greenacre Residential DAC have submitted a SHD application to An Bord Pleanála to build 488 apartments in Fortunestown Lane, Saggart.

The estimated €107m scheme will feature a mix of 1-, 2- and 3-bed apartments spanning over 9 storeys in 5 separate blocks.

Large portions of the 4.2 hectare site will comprise of landscaped courtyards and communal amenity spaces and private amenity spaces comprising of terraces and balconies.

Non-residential amenities are also being proposed within a landscaped local square located to the north of Saggart Luas Stop. The facilities will include a creche, community space, retail commercial floorspace and a café or restaurant.

The Saggart scheme will feature 418 car spaces and a total of 706 cycle parking spaces.

The developing suburb of Citywest has been subject to large residential and commercial expansion in recent years with over 950 new homes in pre-planning and construction phases.  

A SHD application was recently submitted by OBSF (1) Limited to construct 290 homes beside Citywest Shopping centre. Cairn Homes’ are due to complete construction on their 459 SHD located at Cooldown Commons and Fortunestown by the end of 2021.

3D Design Bureau have been working closely with the development team on all 3 Citywest schemes to construct a series of architectural visualisation images and BIM 6D daylight analysis. For this project, 3D Design Bureau produced architectural CGIs, verified view montages and BRE daylight analysis which were used for both planning and marketing purposes.
