Construction is progressing on a new residential development at Silveracre Bungalow, Whitechurch Road, Rathfarnham. The project received the green light in November 2023 when An Bord Pleanála upheld South Dublin County Council’s decision to grant planning permission.
By closely collaborating with the design team, we were able to bring our client’s vision to life. Our tailored solutions aim to provide potential buyers with a comprehensive understanding of the project, its amenities, and the lifestyle it offers, thereby enhancing our client’s marketing strategy.
The underway scheme will feature 22 houses, ideally located in the heart of Rathfarnham. These new homes, available in both 4- and 5-bedroom layouts, will span 2 to 3 storeys, offering ample living space. Every residence is designed to feature private outdoor access, boasting both garden and roofed terraced areas.
To pave the way for the ongoing housing development, extensive demolition activities are necessary. This includes removing two existing habitable buildings, notably Silveracre Bungalow, as well as an existing cottage and five derelict structures.
A total of 44 car parking spaces will be provided to future residents, as well as a single-storey bicycle storage area. The development has excellent access to local bus routes, providing easy connectivity to the city centre and local business districts.

Plans granted: New residential development in Celbridge
Kildare County Council has granted planning permission with conditions for a new residential development on Dublin Road, Celbridge. The approved plans involve the demolition of the former Retronix semiconductor factory to pave the way for a 44-unit residential scheme.
LVIA and TVIA: their role in shaping planning decisions
Visual impact assessments can play an important role in the planning application process. Whether you have been instructed to provide an LVIA (Landscape Visual Impact Assessment) or TVIA (Townscape Visual Impact Assessment) by a planning consultant or a local council, submitting a complete and well-crafted report can have an impact on the outcome of your submission.
South Dublin County Council has approved significant modifications to a previously permitted residential development on Fortunestown Lane, Saggart. Initially approved for 488 residential units, the scheme will now feature 574 apartments across five separate blocks.
