Nassau Street is to see a €58m commercial development. Two investment companies who are set to extend Grafton Street-style shopping centre opposite Trinity College.
Located between the Millennium Bridge and Ha’penny Bridge, the aparthotel will be Locke Hotels’ first Dublin development which is set to open it’s doors by January 2021.
This contemporary development will act as a hub for locals and travellers alike, providing integrated co-working space, gym, coffee kiosk, restaurant and 2 bars, as well as 160 apartments decorated in Locke’s signature pastel hues.
Zanzibar Locke will primarily reside within the protected existing building on Dublin’s quays but also include the demolition of existing buildings on Strand Street Great and some structures to the rear Ormond Quay Lower. The aparthotel’s total floor area will be over 8,500 sq m (91,493 sq ft).
Demolition contractor, Tusker Construction began demolition works in December 2018 and main contractors, Bennett Construction is set to complete works by Summer 2020.
CGI consultants, 3D Design Bureau liaised with C+W O’Brien Architects to construct a series of interior CGIs for marketing purposes.
