3D Product Visualisation
While 3D Design Bureau is mainly experienced in architectural visualisation, we have also collaborated in a range of 3D product visualisation projects. This solution offers a highly accurate and photorealistic representation of products, clearly showcasing their design, features, and functionality. By reducing the need for physical prototypes, product visualisation saves time and resources, making it an invaluable asset across both design and marketing stages. From attracting investors to boosting sales and supporting design decision-making, it offers a wide range of benefits.
In this text, we have compiled a selection of product visualisation projects, highlighting the details behind each one. Explore them below.
Bin Cover with Digital Display
We were appointed to produce a product animation for two bin-cover prototypes designed to house standard wheeled bins. A standout feature of this product is its integrated digital display panel, which can be used for advertising or promotional content by third-party brands.
Our client requested a 360-degree animation to showcase the prototype from all angles. Although the bins can be settled in various public settings, the animation was contextualised within an airport environment to reflect one of their intended use cases. The primary goal of this project was to support the design and development phase of the prototype. From the completed animation, our team also generated a set of still product visualisation images.
Elli Electric Guitar
For this project, we were appointed to produce a high-quality animation of an electric guitar, designed to highlight both its design and key features. From a development point of view, it also helped the project’s design team identify potential areas for improvement in the product.
Additionally, our team delivered a set of detailed product visualisation stills, providing close-up views of the guitar’s body and numbering each feature to support presentations and promotional materials.
Scanzone Security Camera
We were approached by Scanzone to create a detailed 3D model of their specialised CCTV camera, designed with an integrated air conditioning unit for deployment in extreme climates with temperatures reaching up to +65°C. The objective was to accurately visualise both the exterior and internal components of the product. This model was used to help our client sell and license the product to third parties.
Tesco Bag Dispenser and Till Areas
We have collaborated with Tesco on two separate occasions. Our first project with the British multinational grocery company was in 2012, when we were tasked with creating two design options for plastic bag dispensers. These were also accompanied by presentation photomontages, which showed how they would look when placed at the Tesco unit at Merrion Centre, in Dublin.
On a second occasion, we were appointed to visualise a new design for Tesco’s checkout/till areas. For this project, we were provided with hand-drawn sketches and reference materials, from which we developed detailed 3D models to create product visualisation imagery, along with presentation photomontages that placed the design within its real store environment.
Manhattan Portable Heater
For this project, we produced two product visualisation images of different portable heaters for our client. After modelling each unit in detail, we created high-quality still CGIs and a short animation, enabling the client to showcase the products effectively in marketing campaigns and sales materials targeting potential buyers.
Chocolate Bars
Who does not like chocolate bars? A design studio approached us looking for 3D renders of various chocolate bar concepts to support their creative process. Working from supplied reference material, our team developed detailed 3D representations of each bar and produced top-down product visualisation visuals, providing our client with clear, consistent assets to evaluate form, layout, and presentation. These renders were used for design purposes.
RainSafe Water Supplier
For this project, our client requested a highly detailed 3D product visualisation of a water purification device. Our work involved modelling both the exterior and intricate internal components of RainSafe, allowing the client to present the product to interested parties with a clear and accurate visual explanation of its functionality. The visuals were also used in an explanatory video animation, which includes video footage, graphics, text, and voice-over. The video was produced for marketing and promotional purposes.
Big Bag Defence System
As the product consists of a disaster flood relief system, our client lacked photographs demonstrating its various use cases. To address this, we produced a range of product visualisation imagery, which effectively showed it in action. Once the analytical 3D model was created, we produced two video animations illustrating how the product operates, along with sixteen high-quality still images with different real-world scenarios where the system could be used.
Barbecue Grill
3DDB produced still product visualisation imagery of a barbecue grill model, presented in three different colour variations. The grill was rendered from both a front and side angle to clearly showcase its design and finishes. These visuals supported our client’s design review process and served as versatile tools for marketing material.
