Irish developers, Double E investments, have been granted planning permission for the construction of a mixed-use development at Kestrel House, Walkinstown Road, Dublin 12.

To make way for the proposed scheme, demolition to the existing two-story public house and ancillary off-licence is required.

The approved development will reach 6 storeys in height and will accommodate a total of 42 residential units. There will be a mix of one and two-bedroom apartments, each with access to private balconies or terraces. Communal amenity space will also be made available to residents on the four and fifth-floor levels of the development.

At ground level, the scheme will include three retail units covering a total of 146 sqm. These will be accessible from both Walkinstown Road and Bunting Road. Furthermore, a new public house also at ground level is set to complete the approved development at Kestrel House.

Whilst previous plans for developing on this site have been rejected, developers have finally succeeded in securing permission to construct this scheme which will bring further housing and amenities to the Walkinstown area.

CGI consultants, 3D Design Bureau, were involved early in the design stage to produce 3D Planning solutions. We worked closely with the development team to produce architectural CGIs and verified view montages that were used as part of the planning application submitted to the Dublin City Council.
