Irish developers, Cairn Homes have received planning approval from An Bord Pleanála for the construction of 165 homes in Enniskerry, Co. Wicklow.
Irish builders, Durkan, have received the green light from An Bord Pleanála for the construction of an apartment block complex on the site of the former Easons’ Warehouse in Crumlin, Dublin 12.
The approved scheme will see the demolition of the existing Brickfield House building on Brickfield Drive. The 282 apartments will be contained within four blocks that will range from four to ten storeys in height.
The apartments will comprise 127 one-bed units and 155 two-bed units. The Crumlin development will also see the construction of a childcare facility and a café unit. Residents will have access to amenity areas such as a resident’s lounge, a meeting room, and a public working hub. Leisure amenities such as a public gym and a yoga room will also be provided.
Large sections of the 1.23-hectare site will be allocated for public and open space. The plans outline the provision of play areas, courtyards, outdoor seating, terraced planting, and pedestrian and cyclist links. The plans outline a total of 119 car parking spaces and 558 cycle spaces.
An Bord Pleanála granted planning permission after the inspector in the case, Colm McLoughlin, said the proposed development “would provide a quality addition to the streetscape that would not unduly dominate or undermine the wider character of the area and the scale of the proposal can be absorbed as a local neighbourhood”.
CGI consultants, 3D Design Bureau, liaised with the development team to provide both 3D planning and 3D marketing solutions. 3D Design Bureau produced a total of 22 verified view montages, 7 architectural CGIs, and a BRE Daylight & Sunlight Assessment which were submitted as part of the planning application to An Bord Pleanála. The 3D visualisations are now being used for marketing purposes with national media covering the project.
