Wicklow County Council have received a planning application for the construction of a new €22m. Kindelstown House residential development in Delgany that aims to help alleviate the housing crisis in the country.
The proposed development, by Beakonshaw, features the construction of 85 new residential units, consisting of 55 apartments and 30 houses, all built over a basement/podium, which will provide car parking spaces, motorcycle, and bicycle parking spaces, in addition to associated storage areas.

The units will include a mix of one, two, and three-bedroom options, divided into three apartment blocks: a five-storey (four storeys plus penthouse) block with 18 units, a three-storey block with 17 units, and a four-storey (three storeys plus penthouse) block with 14 units.
Moreover, the project also features the building of a 104 sq. Metres crèche, which will offer a valuable resource for families with young children, will positively impact the local community and will enhance the resident’s living experience.

This €15M proposed development promises to deliver a total of 41 houses and four one-bedroom apartments.
The approved development will involve the demolition of all existing structures on the site, including three single-storey dwellings and their associated outbuildings, to make way for over 500 residential dwellings and several non-residential uses.
