Northwest Logistics Park: New Mix-Use Scheme, Ballycoolin

Construction has recommenced on a state-of-the-art logistics facility located at unit 632, Northwest Logistics Park, Ballycoolin, Dublin 15.

The scheme is brought to the market by Irish-based developers, Park developments who have a number of similar projects ongoing in Northwest Logisitics Park.

The industrial scheme will feature a 5,113 sq m of warehouse space and 441 sq m of 2-storey office accommodation.

The building, will be compliant with Nearly Zero Energy Building standards (NZEB).

Warehouse Facility:

  • Approx. 15 clear internal height
  • 6 automated dock levellers and 2 ground level automated insulated sectional doors 5m high by 4m wide
  • Insulated metal deck roof with translucent panels
  • High bay LED lighting
  • 2.4 metre high perimeter concrete walls to inside of external warehouse walls
  • Sealed concrete floors with loading capacity of 50 kn/m2
  • 41 metre yard depth

Office Accommodation:

  • Painted and plastered walls

CGI consultants, 3D Design Bureau, liaised with Savills to provide 3D marketing solutions for this logistics scheme. 3D Design Bureau produced both architectural CGIs and aerial CGIs which are being used to accurately present and market the development while it is in the construction phase.

Development Team:

Developer: Park Developments is a Irish-based developer who have been building residential, commercial and industrial schemes since 1962. They are based in Dublin 18.

Architect: The O’Toole Partnership is an architectural practice based in Dublin. They undertake projects worldwide through an international global network of affiliated colleagues and collaborations.

Planning Consultant: John Spain Associates was established in 1996 by John Spain. Based in heart of Dublin’s central business district with associate offices in London, Manchester and Leeds in the United Kingdom. They a wide range of professional services throughout Ireland in the areas of planning, development and environment.

Consulting Engineer: Doherty Finegan Kelly Ltd is based in Dublin 9.

Landscape Consultant: Murray and Associates provide services in landscape architecture, horticulture, project management, health & safety and arboriculture. They are based in Dublin 3.

CGI consultants: 3D Design Bureau are specialists in Architectural Visualisation, BIM and VR – Delivering Quality Design Planning and Marketing Solutions. For this project, 3D Design Bureau created a series of architectural CGIs and aerial CGIs. All images were used for marketing purposes. They are based in Blackrock, Dublin.
