Plans have be granted for the overall increase in the commercial floor area of a warehouse and office space on College Lane, Greenogue, Rathcoole, Co. Dublin.
Plans for the extension of duration on the Dun Laoghaire Shopping Centre redevelopment have been approved. The €10m redevelopment received approval back in 2016 and construction has commenced on the updating of the South Dublin shopping area.
The centre originally opened back in 1976, making it one of the first shopping centres to be constructed in Ireland and it now has on average 62,000 people visiting each week. It consists of 5 retail levels with a rooftop car park and 4 storey office building overhead.
The proposed upgrade works include the reconfiguration of the interior mall and retail space to create larger new format units at key locations in an attempt to increase footfall through the centre. There will be two large anchor stores constructed with one fronting onto Marine Road and the other fronting onto George Street.
A face lift to the exterior elevations is also on the agenda, including double and triple height glazing, stone cladding, and a new entrance canopy for the shopping centre. The window display boxes that will front onto the street will entice passers-by into the newly renovated centre and will add to the modern exterior look that the developers are aiming to achieve.
The reconfiguration of the interior has commenced and, once complete, this iconic centre at the heart of Dun Laoghaire will provide more up to date and attractive amenities to the area.
CGI consultants, 3D Design Bureau, worked closely with the development team to provide both 3D planning and 3D marketing solutions. 3D Design Bureau produced architectural CGIs and verified view montages for this development.
