A large-scale residential development of 164 homes along Waterfall Road in Bishopstown, Cork, has been granted planning permission by An Coimisiún Pleanála. Located beside the under-construction Ardarostig strategic housing development, the scheme was previously refused by Cork City Council but has now been approved on appeal by the applicant.
3D Design Bureau has supported this planning application by providing our client with a range of 3D solutions. Our team produced high-quality architectural CGIs that accurately showcase the proposed scheme, allowing the local authority to understand its design and layout clearly.
Additionally, we created verified view montages, incorporating cumulative views that included the neighbouring development currently underway. These visuals were important in evaluating the visual impact of the proposed scheme on the surrounding environment, supporting the submission to Cork City Council and helping An Coimisiún Pleanála reach its decision.
The scheme includes a diverse range of residential units, comprising 64 three-bedroom semi-detached and terraced houses, each with private gardens. The approved plans also feature 54 apartments across two blocks, ranging from four to five storeys, offering a mix of one- and two-bedroom units, all with balconies or ground-floor terraces. Additionally, 46 duplex units will be distributed across four terraced buildings, providing a further selection of two- and three-bedroom homes.
Supporting infrastructure will include landscaped outdoor amenity spaces, car and bicycle parking, and a creche with an external play area. The plans also feature a new vehicular access point, along with pedestrian and cycle entrances onto Waterfall Road, with additional upgrades to the local road network.

An Coimisiún Pleanála has granted planning permission, following an appeal, for a major new residential and mixed-use scheme in Athlumney, Navan, Co. Meath. The approved development will deliver 322 homes, alongside extensive community amenities, a neighbourhood centre, and a new public park.
