An Bord Pleanala has granted plans for an estimated €54 million apartment scheme developed by Golden Port Limited. The development will be located in Carriglea Residential Development on Naas Road, Dublin 22.
The apartment development, designed by BKD Architects, will involve the construction of 8 blocks that range from 5 to 8 storeys in height. The residential units within these blocks will comprise a mix of studios, one, two, and three-bedroom apartments.
Plans for the scheme also outline the construction of several ground-floor resident facilities across the development. This includes the provision of a café and a Digital Hub located in Block F. Additionally, Block E will provide a meeting space and a community facility for residents, and Block L will provide residents with access to a concierge facility.
Communal and landscaped open space will be provided on a podium level within the development. At the North end of this space, a raised seating area will be constructed to provide a viewing area, and located at the South-East corner of the site will be a children’s play area.
The approved scheme will provide access to pedestrian and cycle routes to nearby developments and a lower ground level car park will also be constructed on-site. This will provide spaces for car parking, electric car parking, club cars, universal access, and bicycle parking.
CGI consultants, 3D Design Bureau, liaised with the development team to provide both 3D planning and 3D marketing solutions. 3D Design Bureau produced verified view montages, and architectural CGIs, which were submitted as part of the planning application to Dublin City Council.
