Work has commenced on the new Nursing Home planned for Stepaside Lane, Stepaside, Dublin 18. Contractors have started the demolition process of the existing 4 houses on site.
This Nursing Home is one of two in Dublin that promoters, Aedifica, has invested approximately €48 million into. The promoters acquired ownership of the land back in August 2021 and have budgeted approximately €25 million for the construction of the new care home.
The Nursing Home will be part-two and part-five storeys in height and contain a total of 124 bedrooms in the centre of Stepaside. As well as residential units, developers have also dedicated 97 sqm. of space for a café unit within the building. Outside the home, 31 parking spaces will be provided which will allow plenty of room for workers and visitors to the residency.
To finish off the scheme, vehicular access to the development on Stepaside Lane will be provided, PV panels will be installed, and all necessary landscaping work will be completed. The new home will bring a peaceful haven to the rural village for residents who need constant care once complete.
CGI consultants, 3D Design Bureau, were involved early in the design stage to produce 3D Planning solutions. 3D Design Bureau worked closely with the development team to produce architectural CGIs, verified view montages and a BRE Daylight and Sunlight Analysis. These were used as part of the planning application submitted to the Dun-Laoghaire Rathdown County Council.
