Sommerville
Located in Athlumney on the edge of Navan, Co. Meath, Sommerville is a residential scheme by Lagan Homes, which comprises 223 A-rated family homes. Designed by JFOC Architects, the development offers a mix of houses and duplexes, ranging from one to four bedrooms.
Our team was appointed to support the launch of the development with a suite of 3D marketing solutions. Before works progressed on site, every asset for this project was digitally modelled from architectural drawings. This allowed our modelling team to accurately recreate the scheme and ensure consistency across all deliverables that followed.
The initial brief was to produce two streetscape architectural CGIs and an interactive off-plan virtual tour. As the project developed and the client’s marketing campaign took shape, the scope grew to encompass extra exterior visuals, interior CGIs showcasing the Living/Kitchen/Dining spaces of the duplex and two-bedroom house types, an off-plan virtual tour, and an architectural animation.
A particular highlight of this project was the animation. Using newly adopted rendering technology, our team was able to deliver a vertical, reels-style animation tailored specifically for social media, without any compromise on resolution or visual quality. The result is a piece of marketing content built natively for social platforms where buyers are now spending most of their time, while still holding up to the same standard we’d apply to a traditional landscape film.
Because every interior space had already been modelled in detail for the virtual tour, generating the still interior CGIs was an efficient next step. Our team selected new camera angles, refined the lighting, and passed the renders to the post-production team for final touches, maintaining consistency between the immersive tour, the still imagery, and the animation.
