Woodbrook
Developed by Castlethorn and designed by O’Mahony Pike Architects, Woodbrook is a large-scale, multi-phase residential scheme located beside Shankill Village, between the coastline and the Wicklow Mountains. Once complete, it will deliver nearly 700 new homes, including 3-, 4- and 5-bedroom houses, as well as 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom apartments and duplex units.
A key feature of the development, beyond its sea, golf course, and mountain views, is its exceptional connectivity. The newly opened Woodbrook DART station, located just metres from the scheme, offers residents direct access to Dublin City Centre and the wider coastal network.
3D Design Bureau was appointed to support the marketing of two different sites of the scheme: Woodbrook Point and South Coast. While each has its own features and unit mix, both were developed in parallel during our production process, allowing us to streamline elements such as site modelling and aerial photography.
To begin, our team modelled the full masterplan of the site to ensure consistency across visuals. Site visits were coordinated to capture drone imagery and video footage that highlighted the area’s unique character, particularly its proximity to the sea. These elements played a central role in the architectural animations we produced for both phases.
Woodbrook Point
For this phase, our team created a series of architectural CGIs with a strong visual identity. These included a twilight imagery in alternate aspect ratios, bringing a more stylised, atmospheric quality to the visuals. We also produced two presentation photomontages (photorealistic images that integrate the digital 3D model within real-world photography) to present the scheme as it will appear once built.
A standout element of the marketing pack for Woodbrook Point was the off-plan virtual tour. This interactive experience showcases both the 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom apartment types, allowing potential buyers to explore layouts and finishes well ahead of completion. The tour was developed using detailed material references and specifications provided by the client’s agency and design team.
South Coast
This larger phase of the scheme features a broader mix of homes, including 3- and 4-bedroom houses, apartments, and duplexes. Each image was carefully planned in collaboration with the design team to ensure strategic viewpoints that captured multiple house types in a single frame. These visuals were also prepared to highlight the internal infrastructure of the scheme, such as roads, footpaths, and landscaped areas, giving prospective buyers a clear and engaging sense of the neighbourhood’s design and layout.
Across both phases, the visuals were tailored to support a variety of marketing materials, including brochures, websites, estate agent listings, and social media campaigns. Together, they play a key role in helping prospective buyers make informed decisions and in driving off-plan sales for the developer.
