An Bord Pleanála has granted permission for the construction of a new 208-unit apartment development in Kimmage Road West. Designed by BKD Architects, the Carlisle scheme was approved following an appeal by the public lodged in March 2023.
The Carlisle Development, which is divided into 104 one-bedroom apartments and 104 two-bedroom apartments, was approved under the Large Scale Residential (LRD) process.
Each new home in this Carlisle scheme will have access to its own private balcony or terrace to provide residents with private open space. Public and communal open spaces will also be included as part of the development and car, bicycle, and motorcycle parking will be available on-site.
As CGI consultants, 3D Design Bureau were involved early in the design stage of the Carlisle LRD, producing a range of planning solutions. These included architectural CGIs, aerial CGIs and verified view montages that were all submitted as part of the approved planning application.
