What does a typical day in 3DDB look like for you?

We start every morning with a team meeting where the project managers, Marcus, and Lewis discuss ongoing projects and updates that could impact the models.

I am also in constant contact with other team members. That is because 3D models are the basis for visualisation and Daylight and Sunlight projects. Therefore, anything that can affect the models will also affect the work of other team members. That is why communication is important in the company.

Is there a particular project that stands out as your favourite?

I remember working on an apartment development in Navan. Dunville House was one of my first projects. This was an update to a previous application, so the previous modeller who worked on it gave me some tips on figuring it out. It was very, very nice.

I also enjoy working on large projects, such as the Emmet Road scheme. Since we have more modellers involved in this type of job, I always have the opportunity to learn something new from them. Everyone gives different opinions, the way we revise projects… It is all very interesting.

What do you enjoy the most about working at 3DDB?

I like the work environment. It is a very international team where we all learn and respect each other at every moment. I found it quite easy to adapt when I first started. Everybody helped me a lot during my learning curve.

Also, the company makes it easy for us to work from home or at the office, depending on our needs. For those of us who work abroad, like myself, we are always welcomed at the office, which is nice.

In 3DDB, we work on a variety of projects, including residential, industrial, and interior design. This is also appealing to me.…
