Construction is progressing on Crown Square, a €200 million mixed-use development in Galway’s Mervue area. The latest Land Development Agency (LDA) project will deliver 345 A-rated apartments, comprising 86 one-bedroom, 240 two-bedroom, and 19 three-bedroom units. These residences will be allocated as cost rental and social housing, addressing the pressing need for affordable housing in the region.
3D Design Bureau
Situated on a 12.65-acre campus, Crown Square is part of a broader development that includes 38,000 square meters of office space across five buildings and a 180-bed hotel. The initial phase, encompassing office blocks and the hotel, is well underway. Two of the five office buildings have been completed, and the Radisson Red Hotel commenced operations in December 2024.
3D Design Bureau has been integral to both the residential and commercial phases of the Crown Square development in Galway. Our team produced aerial photomontages, verified view montages, architectural CGIs, and an architectural animation, which were instrumental in assisting the local authority’s decision-making process and in showcasing the development’s design and impact. Additionally, for the commercial phase, we created interior CGIs to illustrate the design of the future office spaces.
Located just 2.4 kilometers from Galway City Centre, the development offers excellent public transport links. The first homes are anticipated to be ready by the end of 2026.
