South Dublin County Council has approved significant modifications to a previously permitted residential development on Fortunestown Lane, Saggart. Initially approved for 488 residential units, the scheme will now feature 574 apartments across five separate blocks.

Construction has commenced on an expansive residential project by Debussy Properties Limited, located at the intersection of Millicent Road and Prosperous Road in Clane, Co. Kildare. Approved by Kildare County Council in March 2024, the development will offer a diverse mix of housing options, complemented by high-quality amenities and a crèche facility.

3D Design Bureau, in collaboration with the project’s design team, provided a comprehensive array of planning solutions to this project, encompassing computer-generated imagery, verified view montages, and an extensive Daylight and Sunlight Assessment Report. These elements were meticulously produced to support our client’s planning application submission, ensuring that both the D/S report and the selection of medium to long-range verified view montages accurately presented the development’s potential impact on its surrounding environment.
The residential scheme will feature 190 residential units, ranging from semi-detached to detached houses with 3 to 5 bedrooms. Additionally, duplex units will offer 1 to 3-bedroom layouts, catering to various family sizes and preferences.
Approved plans also include the construction of a two-storey childcare facility spanning 358 sqm, accompanied by an outdoor play space of 92.1 sqm. This initiative addresses the increasing demand for accessible family-oriented amenities within the community.
The underway LRD in Clane will enable the introduction of a new link street, enhancing connectivity between Prosperous Road (R403) and Millicent Road. This not only improves local transportation networks but also promotes pedestrian and cyclist accessibility, aligning with contemporary urban planning principles.
Future residents will benefit from 8,594 sqm of landscaped public open spaces, with additional play areas. The development will also ensure ample parking with 243 car parking spaces and 268 bicycle parking spots, alongside different storage solutions.
