The approved scheme will see the demolition of the existing Brickfield House building on Brickfield Drive. The 282 apartments will be contained within four blocks that will range from four to ten storeys in height.
Permission has been granted for the proposed amendments to the existing Blue Mall in Blanchardstown Town Centre. The Blue Mall is a key attraction and focal point of Blanchardstown and these changes could greatly elevate the town’s overall appeal.
The work involved on the Blue Mall includes both internal and external alterations. Amendments will be made to the permitted extension which includes the removal of the roof structure and alterations to the façade. These changes will subsequently provide an external Mall plaza area for visitors to enjoy. Changes to the external mall seating and the landscaping as well as the provision of canopies will provide the mall with a visible and more appealing external upgrade.
The internal changes will involve the alteration of the existing lobby of the mall and the reconfiguration of the permitted cafe and restaurant units. Further to these changes, existing units will be combined to create new cafés and restaurants, improving the food and beverage services offered at the Blue Mall.
These alterations are part of an overall strategic masterplan of the centre which will boost its facilities and allow it to offer more to the Blanchardstown community.
CGI consultants, 3D Design Bureau, liaised with the development team to provide 3D planning solutions. 3D Design Bureau produced verified view montages and aerial CGIs that were submitted as part of the planning application to Fingal County Council. These verified view montages and aerial CGIs played a role in securing planning approval for the proposed alterations of the mall.
