2025 has already marked a significant milestone for 3D Design Bureau, as we took part in two of Ireland’s AEC industry awards for the first time as both nominees and sponsors.
Over the years, we’ve seen many of the projects we’ve worked being nominated and winning prestigious prizes. This alone has always been a source of pride. However, being shortlisted and sponsoring a category ourselves represents a new and meaningful chapter. The following is a wrap-up of 3DDB’s 2025 awards season.
Business Post National Property Awards
Now in its fourth year, the Business Post National Property Awards recognise excellence across the Irish property sector. The 2025 ceremony took place on 27 February at the Intercontinental Hotel, Dublin.
This year marked 3D Design Bureau’s first-ever nomination in any award, with our team shortlisted in two categories: PropTech Company of the Year and Marketing Team of the Year. These reflect the results of a strong year in 2024, which we achieved over 4 million impressions across platforms, secured top-ranking positions in search results, and strengthened client relationships through a consistent and strategic marketing effort.
Our PropTech Company of the Year nomination recognised three of our 3D marketing solutions: Virtual Staging, Matterport Virtual Tours, and Off-Plan Virtual Tours. Each of them plays an important role in helping our client’s property marketing strategies. Being shortlisted exemplify our focus on quality, collaboration, and innovation, and help us strengthen our position as one of the main companies in the Irish 3D visualisation industry.
While we did not take home a trophy on the night, it was a great honour to be recognised and to stand alongside other industry peers.
Irish Building and Design Awards
Held on 4 April, also at the Intercontinental Hotel, the Irish Building and Design Awards celebrate excellence in Irish architecture, engineering, and construction both on a national and international scale.
For this event, 3D Design Bureau contributed by sponsoring one of the night’s key categories: Architectural Project of the Year. Our Associate Director, Richard Dalton, presented the award to Healy Partners Architects for their work on 1BQ project.
Ahead of the night, our Managing Director, Nicholas Polley, recorded a short video message supporting the event and this year’s nominees. The message was promoted as part of the communications materials ahead of the event.
In addition to sponsoring the event, we were shortlisted for Digital/BIM Initiative of the Year for our work in Daylight and Sunlight Assessments. For nearly a decade, 3DDB has delivered these assessments across a wide range of projects in Ireland, acting as a key partner to design teams.
Unfortunately, we were not selected as winners. However, the nomination itself served as a valued recognition of the expertise and quality we bring to every project.
Looking Ahead
In conclusion, being directly involved in this year’s awards season has been truly gratifying. It highlights the progress we made in 2024 and celebrates 25 years of supporting Ireland’s built environment. These nominations acknowledge the blood, sweat and tears of our dedicated teams behind our 3D planning and 3D marketing services and reinforce our continued commitment to providing value to developers, architects, and stakeholders.
The journey continues. We’re excited to see what the future holds.

Home Performance Index: How Daylight & Sunlight can help you get certified
In a landscape where sustainability affects our built environment, governments are setting ambitious climate action targets, and consumers are becoming increasingly conscious of environmental impact when making decisions, the Home Performance Index (HPI)certification helps design teams deliver high-quality homes that are sustainable and efficient, minimising waste and reducing environmental damage.
Testing new artificial intelligence tools in architectural visualisation
Artificial intelligence is transforming the AEC industry, with applications spanning from digital modelling to post-production in 3D imagery. Our team has been exploring these tools for over a year, applying them across various stages of our workflow. In this article, we share our experiences, insights, and takeaways.
This article highlights three key trends the 3DDB team predicts will lead the way in 2025. While design remains at the heart of the AEC sector, this year’s advancements are heavily influenced by data-driven insights and a steadfast commitment to sustainability.
