Nearly 600 Apartments Break Ground in Saggart January, 2025

South Dublin County Council has approved significant modifications to a previously permitted residential development on Fortunestown Lane, Saggart. Initially approved for 488 residential units, the scheme will now feature 574 apartments across five separate blocks.

LDA’s Latest Development to Bring 345 New Apartments to Galway February, 2025

Construction is progressing on Crown Square, a €200 million mixed-use development in Galway’s Mervue area. The latest Land Development Agency (LDA) project will deliver 345 A-rated apartments, comprising 86 one-bedroom, 240 two-bedroom, and 19 three-bedroom units. These residences will be allocated as cost rental and social housing, addressing the pressing need for affordable housing in the region.

Corballis East: Over 1,000 residential units under construction in North Dublin February, 2025

Construction has commenced on a new large-scale residential development comprising of a whopping 1,020 units in Corballis, Donabate, with an estimated investment of €220 million. The LRD application received approval from Fingal County Council in April 2024, replacing a previously approved Strategic Housing Development (SHD) granted by An Bord Pleanála in November 2022, which is currently under judicial review. Corballis East is expected to provide a diverse range of housing options to meet growing demand in the area.

Santry Avenue: Planning Approved for 321-Unit Apartment Development February, 2025

An Bord Pleanála has upheld Dublin City Council’s decision to grant planning permission, with revised conditions, for a large-scale residential development at the junction of Santry Avenue and Swords Road, Dublin 9. The approved scheme, developed by Dwyer Nolan Developments Limited, will replace the existing Chadwicks Builders Merchants with a modern residential and commercial development.
