Architectural visualisation can support a property development long before construction begins. At 3D Design Bureau, we have used it to help design teams test options, identify measures that can improve a scheme and address issues that might otherwise create challenges at planning stage.
Ireland’s exempted development rules have been expanded under new Planning and Development Regulations introduced in July 2026, widening the scope of residential works that can proceed without formal planning approval.
For many people in Ireland, the idea of home has long been associated with a house: a front door, private garden, driveway, family space and long-term ownership. This preference reflects how Irish towns, suburbs and communities have developed over generations, and how housing has traditionally been delivered across the country.
At 3D Design Bureau, our work is often seen through the final solutions we produce, from architectural CGIs and verified view montages to daylight and sunlight assessments, virtual tours, animations and other 3D planning and marketing services. However, behind every deliverable is a team of specialists working together to interpret information, resolve challenges, support design teams and communicate projects clearly throughout a development’s lifecycle.
Architectural visualisation supports office developments at two key stages: securing planning approval and marketing to future occupiers. We look at how CGIs, photomontages and verified view montages helped two recent projects — Westgate in Galway Business Park and Connaught House in Dublin.
The Home Performance Index (HPI), developed by the Irish Green Building Council, is a certification system that measures the quality and sustainability of new homes across different categories.
